#wodsgonecrazy update

Posted: April 6, 2011 in Athletes, Crossfit

Hello fellow #wodsgonecrazy athletes….here is the update and breakdown…

We are sponsored by Fashletics who will be making custom dogtags for us, RxJumpRopes who will be supplying us with new jump ropes, LifeAsRx who is designing out #wodsgonecrazy shirts and Progenex who will be supplying shirts and schwag.

We will all be in by Thursday night and hitting a WOD with @functhat.

The Craziness will ensue on Friday…first WOD at 8am at Crossfit Counter Culture where we will be putting the pain on Crossfit Sectionals WOD 11.6, which will be validated for those competing in sectionals.

WOD #2 will be at Crossfit Invictus where I will be programming us a fun WOD, trust me it will be memorable. After the WOD I will set aside some challenges and we will have a skill session for those that want to learn from one another.

WOD #3 is either  a beach WOD or another box. Weather permitting. I have programmed this as well. Boys Vs Girls!!

I am talking with SICFIT about a couple ideas as well.

I hope this update will help everyone. If you have any questions you know where to find me.

Bio:

Started playing sports at 4 years old and played everything under the Florida sun. Started swimming in high school then went to Wright State University as Division I collegiate swimmer, then a masters swimmer post. After fighting through 3 surgeries in 4 years I needed a way to be leaner and stronger. I tried triathlons only made me lean, not strong. I found CrossFit which hooked me from day 1. No more injuries, just leaner, faster and stronger.

Trying to Live my life as Prescribed. Every day to become a better me.

Bio:

I played club hockey in college and continued playing tournaments after, but you could say I hit a rough patch of injuries that left me missing that competition feeling( I tore my left MCL twice, right ACL once, got double hernias, tore two ligaments in my left elbow and rotator damage in my right shoulder). Then about a year ago I discovered Crossfit and now I compete in my gym 4-5 times a week. It has changed every part of my life from diet to weekend activities. I’m now faster, stronger and healthier at 35 than I have ever been in my life. I ran my first 3 5k’s this year all w/obstacles(WarriorDash/Mudathlon/MonsterDash) and just competed in my first CrossFit/Fitness challenge… and only have 15 years left to train for the 50+ Masters Division at the CrossFit Games in 2025, So I’ll see you there.

Bio:

I’m a clumsy, kooky, canuck graphic designer who hopped the border to live blissfully with the one and only Tiki. Before moving to the Americas I was a cardio junkie who had never touched a weight. The Tiki had already been doing it for a few months and I was hesitant to try it, I imagined myself surrounded by grunting juicehead gorillas. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Crossfit has completely changed my life. I am stronger, more confident, and have gained not only self-esteem, but a freaking amazing group of friends that I consider family. A year ago I never would have imagined I could do a pull up without a band or Rx a WoD, but Crossfit has made me realize I am capable of ANYTHING.
